What time do you normally get up to go to school?
6:00 to 6:15 am.
What do you normally have for breakfast, recess, lunch, tea (dinner, supper)?
my breakfast is usually a bagel or some cereal, my lunch is usually a sandwich, and my dinner could be anything my parents want.
How do you get to school?
my mom drives me.
How long does it take to get to or from school?
twenty minutes to an hour.

A baloney sandwich, apples, and a fiber bar.

I have math, social studies, science, English, literature, and religion every day, although sometimes we replace one with computer lab, Spanish, art, library, music, or PE (physical education)

we didn’t have any, unless you count after school where we have violin lessons, keyboard lessons, or drama.
Technology in your school
we have iPads and old computers from the 90’s, but we are getting macs next year.
A typical schoolday with timetable and breaks
religion is always first, at 8:00, although on Wednesdays it is replaced with mass(church,) and then at 8:45 we have either Spanish (Tuesdays and Thursdays,) computer lab (Wednesdays,) or Lit, (Friday and Monday.) After that we have math at 9:40. 10:35 is our recess. At 10:50 we have social studies (every day except Monday and Friday) because on Monday we have music, and PE on Fridays. Then we have science at 11:45, but on Monday we have social studies. On Fridays, after science, we go home, since Friday is a half day. Otherwise, we have lunch. On Mondays, we have Library at 1:00, and art at 1:50. On normal days, we go to literature and English. We get put of school at 2:45.
What do you do at break times? Games, activities etc
I play on my iPad if I have free time inside the classroom, but at recess I eat a snack and talk wiht friends. Same for lunch, except it’s my lunch that I’m eating.
School bell has gone for end of day – what happens now?
I stay in after school and do my homework until my dad picks me up at 4:30, or my mom picks me up at 6:00, and I go home.
Do you have to wear uniform?
yes, and I hate it. On Wednesdays we have to wear a white Hirt and black sweater-vest, regardless of the weather/tempature. At least I can wear the boys’ shorts instead of a skirt. In winter we can wear school sweatpants, but we cannot wear them to mass.
How many days per year are you at school? How is this arranged – terms etc?
I have no idea, it changes almost every year.
What do you enjoy most about school?
seeing my friends.
If you could improve your school, what would you do?
make it so not every school event is a popularity contest, and make the teacher who was here since ’71 retire. And give the student laptops instead of iPads.
